1. Functions

The Project Development Department (PDD) is a unit affiliated to Tra Vinh University (TVU), with the function of advising and assisting the Rector on management task and project development in the fields of training and scientific research of TVU, and implementing other grounds correlated to assigned functions.

2. Duties

PDD’s main duties are to

a) advise the Rector on the participation in or setting up of proposals and projects to call for grants from overseas organizations and individuals to meet TVU’s development requirements and compile reports related to project development activities and submit them to relevant management levels.

b) search and exploit projects, chair the construction and administering these projects’ processes of preparation, implementation, and accomplishment; manage foreign-invested projects and submit them to competent authorities for decision; mobilize resources to work well on agreements and projects in accordance with the State's regulations; conduct project acceptance and evaluation.

c) advise the Rector to issue internal and external documents related to project development

d) train, consult, and deploy information to units affiliated to TVU on project management and development business.

e) supervise under the Rector’s designation for the drafting and writing of joint projects at school level and of proposals and projects concluded in partnership programs and proposals and projects covered by foreign expenses; actively deploy international collaboration programs.

f) participate in the implementation and administrative management of projects designated by the Rector

g) provide information and professional support to the units composing proposals and projects

h) research community’s necessity which is met by the deployment of projects

i) cooperate with other units to carry out tasks arising in the process of construction and development of TVU and boost TVU’s prestige and position

j) accomplish other functions and duties prescribed by the law as designated by the Rector
